OB Town Council brings another fantastic parade to the community!
This year, the Ocean Beach Town Council brought yet another wonderful Christmas Parade to Newport Ave. The streets were lined with people from all over San Diego, all anxious to catch their favorite float - and in many cases a hand full of candy or Christmas beads, too!
A volunteer organization, the OB Town Council co-orindates the Tree Festival every year, and fundraises for their local OB Food + Toy Drive. The proceeds from several events leading up to Christmas all go towards supporting local families and seniors in need over the holidays. "Each year there is more and more community participation; not just for the parade itself, but at all of our events, and we really couldn't do it without all the volunteers," Jim Musgrove, OB Town Council President. If you have any questions about making a donation to the OB Food + Toy Drive please call the OB Town Council at (619)515-4400 or visit their newly re-designed website www.OBTownCouncil.org.
