Marketing Opportunities for Members

OB LOCAL ONLINE BUSINESS DIRECTORY

(Included with membership)

Reach 60,000 plus community members and visitors alike with a free listing in the OB Local Online Business Directory. The directory includes links to your website, social accounts, a 300-character description, and an image.

SUNDOWNER MARKETING EVENTS

(Included with membership)

Sundowner events are a great way to socialize and connect with other local business owners. Hosting or co-hosting a Sundowner is a fun way to create a positive impression of your business with the OBMA community. Sundowners are typically held on the fourth Thursday of each month from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Invitations are sent out via email and posted in the monthly newsletter.

Publicize your event on the OBMA website calendar. A calendar listing can link to a flyer or website which provides event details. Calendar listings highlight special events and/or meetings. To submit a calendar listing, use our online form. A high-resolution flyer or image along with a detailed text description is highly recommended.

LOCAL NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS

Local news announcements are a great way for OBMA members to inform the community if something significant has or will take place. Local news features include winning an award; if you’re having a big sale, event, or celebrating an anniversary; if you have a major new product line; or if you have a press release, please let us know. To submit a local news announcement, use our online form. A high-resolution flyer or image along with a detailed text description is highly recommended.

FARMERS MARKET INFORMATION BOOTH

OBMA Members are encouraged to provide our team with flyers and information for upcoming events, promotions, and specials. We will gladly hand out this information each Wednesday at the Ocean Beach Farmers Market Information Booth.

MEMBER NEWSLETTER SPONSORSHIP

($75 per newsletter)

Sponsor the OBMA monthly newsletter and receive a dedicated page in the newsletter publicizing your special announcement, along with your logo on the front page of the e-newsletter. A color flyer will be displayed at the Farmers Market booth for the duration of the sponsored month. The newsletter is distributed to both BID and Associate members and available online for the community to enjoy.

With over 600,000 page views per year, the OBMA website is a great place to advertise. Ads rotate on all pages of the website and provide your business with a lot of exposure to visitors and community members alike. Don’t have a graphic designer on hand, no problem. Our team will create an ad for your business.

COOPERATIVE ADVERTISING

Ocean Beach cooperative advertising opportunities can create a presence for your business at a significantly lower price point than advertising on your own. The OBMA purchases advertising throughout the year to promote Shopping, Dining, Playing, Staying & Living in Ocean Beacon and ad opportunities in various printed and online publications are available to OBMA members.

OB HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE

The Ocean Beach Holiday Gift Guide insert featured in the Peninsula Beacon is distributed to 20,000 Peninsula residents and is available online at SDNews.com and OceanBeachSanDie-go.com. The OBMA provides additional promotion through social media posts throughout the holiday season for no additional cost. For more information see the co-op advertising flyer.

Each year the OBMA sponsors Shop Small & Shop Local OB which encourages people to shop locally the weekend after Thanksgiving and throughout the holiday season. Information is sent out to businesses via e-news in mid-October. Don’t miss this great opportunity to encourage shopping locally and sign up to let us know you would like to be involved.
